Live Streams & Garden Kitchens!
Hey folks, it’s Barry Lewis here - hope you are well?
This is my 3rd newsletter (wahoo!) and i’m going to keep this one short and sweet! It’s been a really fun start to the Year, after a crazy end to it where I pretty much had every bug in the World (well, it seemed everyone did!) … I have finally made it out into the garden kitchen, yep my own kitchen purpose made for filming in our garden!
The feedback has been great, it’s been fun adapting to a new space that I can literally cause havoc in and have friends and family over, pretty much anytime! After Years in our own kitchen, it’s odd for our kitchen to now be, well, a kitchen! But it finally opens up so much opportunity that it’s been so hard to achieve for so long.
One of the things i’ve started doing is livestreams (or live ‘steams’), they are not on a set night but normally early evening UK time. It’s very relaxed, Boston is there and I have some lovely folks helping me moderate and help with cameras too whilst I cook a recipe.
The next one is this Thursday and it’s the first cookalong (so YOU can join in) making chocolate banana bread. Oh, don’t worry if you miss it, you can watch back anytime… in fact previous live streams will be added to this playlist.
But if you want to join in the next one head here at 18:30 UK time on Thursday, if you are subscribed to my YouTube channel it should notify you each week too. Also, if you prefer Twitch, you can head to my Twitch page at the same time.
Here’s the things you’ll need to make the chocolate banana bread:
3 ripe bananas
75g (⅓ cup) butter, melted
100g (½ cup) sugar
1 egg, beaten
1tsp vanilla extract
1tsp bicarbonate soda / baking soda
Pinch of salt, to taste
185g (1½ cups) plain flour
85g (½ cup) chocolate chips
You’ll also need a loaf tin, lined.
Oh… and i’m super close to hitting 1M subscribers on YouTube, when we hit that milestone there is going to be a 24 Hour livestream, so look out for that!
